The economic downturn has created a challenging and complicated business and regulatory landscape for financial institutions. Our Financial Services Group brings together the interdisciplinary skills of our lawyers, each with a track record of successfully serving financial institutions and their unique needs. Banks and other financial institutions rely on IZ for advice on regulatory, transactional, foreclosure and bankruptcy matters.
On compliance matters, our attorneys have experience representing banks and bank holding companies in front of Federal and Florida banking regulators, and have extensive experience in data privacy and security law matters, including GLBA, BSA, FACTA, Red Flag Id Theft, Data Breach, and other laws and regulations.
We are equally adept at transactional matters and regularly represent financial institutions in structuring and documenting credit transactions of all types and amounts both representing lenders and borrowers. Among these are secured and unsecured credit agreements, real estate financings, project financings, and acquisition financings. We have particular experience in representing lenders and borrowers in cross-border transactions, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through the years we have developed a network of trusted law firms in the region that helps us seamlessly deal with issues involving U.S. and local legal issues.
Together with members of our Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy Group, who regularly represent a variety of clients in bankruptcy court proceedings, our attorneys provide lenders and borrowers advice and assistance in all aspects of work-outs and bankruptcies.
When disputes arise, team of experienced litigators has represented banks, consumer finance companies, debt collectors, credit card issuers, and mortgage lenders and servicers in a wide variety of individual and class action disputes involving state and Federal consumer protection laws, including privacy issues, consumer fraud, breach of contract, disclosure violations, lender liability, debt collection, and credit reporting practices.
We look forward to working with you.
